In the below photo a lady was taking a photo of her husband outside a museum in Amsterdam when she captured what appears to be the picture of a little girl ghost standing up there on the balcony. Yes people really do take photos of ghosts all the time with out meaning to.

"My brother took this photo in Virginia City, Nevada when we were on a trip. It's in the hallway of the Silver Queen Hotel. It was built around 1860. When he took the picture, I was behind him, and the hallway was empty. After we saw the picture, we went back two times, but without any luck. This is a picture of my nan and uncle taken in the 1930s, says Simon. If you look to the right of them in the wooden shed, there is a man in a top hat holding something, and to his left a really evil-looking entity. My nan would never let anyone see this picture whilst she was alive. Also, when my uncle was a teenager he apparently found a skeleton under some slabs in the grounds of the house. What happened then I have no idea. The picture is 100% genuine and has just come to light in our family.

How to Spot Real Paranormal Activity in a House

You may or may not believe in it but there are people who really do experience real paranormal activity in their home. I have lived in several haunted houses including the house I now live in and once you ever experience seeing real paranormal activity or a ghost it will be the most amazing experience of your life. If you think your experiencing real paranormal activity in your house there are things you can do to confirm what iss going on in your house.

Instructions

The first step you can take to spot real paranormal activity in a house is to look for cold spots. Many people who live in haunted houses report areas of unexplained coldness or cold spots in their homes. If you have one of these areas, look around to make sure that it is just not a draft coming from a window or door. If you cannot find an explanation for the cold spot, you could have some paranormal activity going on. If you discover that it is just a leaky window, at least you can fix it and save on your energy bills.

Next, try taking a look at your photographs for real paranormal activity. Do you have strange images that show up in them that you cannot explain such as orbs, lights, or images of people? Try to recreate the picture. Some orbs can be explained away as dust. To be positive, make sure that your camera lens and flash are clean. Did you see a strange light or image? Make sure that it is not light reflecting off of a mirror or picture frame.

Did you ever think that you heard or saw something that was not there? Do you think you've seen objects move on there own or walk into a room to find a chair a few feet from where you know you left it? If it happens about the same time every day, try setting up a tape recorder or voice recorder. Many people trying to spot true paranormal activity in their house have done this and were shocked to hear voices or see images on recordings.

Find out the history of the house. If something tragic happened in or around your home, it might be ripe for paranormal activity. A lot of homes in the South are haunted by Civil War ghosts. They report soldiers showing up in photographs and sounds of battle or singing in the night.

Have you actually seen a ghost? This is real paranormal activity that cannot be explained by anything else. Ask other family members if they have seen the same thing. My mother was shocked to find out that two of my brothers have seen the same man wearing a brown suit in our home after she finally saw him herself one night. We found out that a previous owner had died of a heart attack in the kitchen one morning... wearing his brown suit for work.

Tips & Warnings

If you really think that something paranormal is going on, don't be scared to ask a family member if they are experiencing the same thing.

When listening to a voice recorder, make sure that it is on high volume. That is usually the only way to hear paranormal activity.

My Own Ghost Story, The Night The Ghost Got In

In the summer of 2001 I and my girlfriend were living in a garage apartment in a small South Carolina town called Newberry. Before that summer was over we had experienced some of the strangest paranormal activity we had ever experienced and my girl friend was attacked by a ghost. In the photo just above you can see one of the graves from the Boundary Street Cemetery. I think the ghost or spirit that attacked my girlfriend came from this cemetery.

An urban legend also claims the site is haunted by the spirit of a dance hall girl named Johanna, who committed suicide after avenging her murdered lover after he was killed by her disapproving father. This claim was investigated on the first episode of the TV series Ghost Adventures.

Bobby Mackey's Music World is a nightclub and honky tonk that is currently owned by country singer Bobby Mackey and located on 44 Licking Pike in Wilder, Kentucky. Situated about 3 miles (4.8 km) south of Cincinnati, Ohio near the Licking River, the building is self-proclaimed as "the most haunted nightclub in the USA."

According to urban legends and modern folklore, the location allegedly houses a "gateway to hell" and is haunted by spirits including Pearl Bryan, whose corpse was found in a field 2.5 miles from the site in Fort Thomas, Kentucky.

Unsubstantiated stories include Bryan's murderers being devil worshippers who, according to local talk, cursed the location and vowed to haunt everyone involved in prosecuting the case. Also according to urban legend, sometime in the 1930s a pregnant dancer named "Johanna" committed suicide with poison backstage on the catwalk at the Latin Quarter club, which then operated inside the building currently housing Bobby Mackey's. Rumor has it that this deed was carried out after her father murdered her lover Robert Randall, a singer at the club, by hanging him in the dressing room, though investigations have failed to find police reports of this event ever having taken place.

Furthermore, scholarly research into property records, newspapers, and court files has failed to substantiate most of the fanciful claims made regarding the sanguine history of the location, and no connection between the site of Bobby Mackey's and the Pearl Bryan murder has ever been established. Most who have studied the Bryan slaying have concluded any claims to either Bryan's death or dismemberment at the Wilder, Kentucky structure are unsupported by a foundation of hard fact, and place these popular accounts into the realm of the tall tale.

According to Bobby Mackey, the site was originally used as a slaughterhouse in the early 19th century and later torn down for construction of a roadhouse that took on various names, such as The Brisbane, until he purchased it in 1978.

On December 13, 1991 Jerry Springer interviewed Bobby Mackey, his wife Janet, his employee and the building's caretaker Carl Lawson, and Reverend Glenn Cole about their experiences. Lawson and Cole claim that Lawson had been possessed and later exorcized by Cole for six hours on the site which took place on August 8, 1991. Lawson's videotaped exorcism performed by Cole was aired on the talk show.Below is that interview on the Jerry Springer Show.

The Night The Ghost Got In, A True Ghost Story

On Boundary Street in Newberry South Carolina is a cemetery that is several hundred years old. During the summer and fall of 2001 I and my girlfriend lived in a little garage apartment just down the road from the cemetery and it was there that I saw the most paranormal activity that I have ever encountered.

The photo above is from the Boundary Street cemetery and that cemetery is one of the most haunted cemeteries that I have ever been to. I think a lot of the activity in our apartment came from that cemetery

Before we left that apartment my girlfriend was attacked by a ghost and the paranormal activity got to the point that no one who entered the apartment could deny what was going on in the apartment.

One Of The Most Spectacular Orb Photos I Ever Took

I know that not all orbs are paranormal but I carefully checked the above room for dust and insects and neither were there when I took the above photo. Something that was clearly paranormal was in that room when I took that photo. I felt like there was electricity touching me and even though I was the only person in the room I heard a older female voice say " Please Help Me " from over in the direction of the bed. This is in an old closed down Nursing Home in upper Cleveland County North Carolina and the woman that once lived in that room was accidentally burned to death in the bathroom just down the hall.

I've seen ghosts and paranormal activity all my life but I've never seen the paranormal activity that is going on in this building. I've seen full body apparitions, heard a piano play with no one at it and heard many voices of people who clearly were not there.

Eppig: Do you believe that an increased interest in demonology and Satanism has created more cases of demonic possession? If there are other factors, what do you believe those factors are?

Johnson: A quick Internet search will reveal that interest in both demonology and Satanism has dramatically escalated. However, I would not say that it has significantly increased actual cases of demonic possession. Rather, I would say that people who are suggestible tend to give credence to the possibility that they are demonically possessed, when in fact they may not be.

On the other hand, those who do have legitimate problems with demonic oppression and even possession might be less hesitant to seek out available help. About 15 to 20 years ago, or even as recently as 10 years ago, the majority of people dealing with demonic oppression or possession might fear being ridiculed and labeled delusional at best. Now, because there are so many others out there relating similar experiences, people seem to be more readily seeking help.

Paranormal Expert Talks About New York's Haunted Spots

A self-proclaimed ghost-hunter says New York City has some of the most haunted places in the world. Kate Davey - who does research for an Internet company - says places where people hang out everyday of the week, have a lot of paranormal activity.

She says Washington Square Park in Greenwich Village was a public hanging square in the 18th century - and a lot of spirits roam among the college students, tourists and New Yorkers who hang out there.

Davey adds that New York City's history dating back to the 1600s makes it a perfect environment for unrested souls. She says dozens of restaurants and other public places have paranormal activity, including one Greenwich Village restaurant - where the maitre D' quit because he was pushed down the stairs by something he couldn't see.

Davey gives out a list of the most haunted places today at 11 a.m. at Saint Marks Church on east 10th Street.

The Ghost Cat , A True Story

In 1991 I lived in St Augustine Florida and I worked as a Chef on the second shift at a local Cafe. Over time I became friends with a large Himalayan Cat that would follow me home each night as I walked home. He appeared to be very well fed and he had a collar on that said Mr Jeeves. I know that I fed him every night for many weeks and I began to look forward to him meeting me each night as I walked about a half mile from the Cafe home to my Apartment. Now while none of this seems strange here is the strange part.

One day when I went to pay the rent I mentioned Mr Jeeves to the older couple where I went to pay the rent. When I started telling them about the cat the man I was renting from became agitated and said we just don't talk about the cat.

Well I paid my rent and left wondering what was so strange about the cat. About a month later I got my answer. A older lady who lived in the same building I did said to me one day. So you feed Mr Jeeves to. I said yes I do and asked her what do you know about the cat.

The lady told me a story that made the hair raise up on the back of my neck and it was one of the most amazing stories I ever heard. It seems that 17 years before the couple I rented from had had a daughter named Helen who was 11 and that she had a cat a large male Himalayan named Mr Jeeves and one day the little girl ran out into the path of a truck and she and the cat were killed.

Both were buried in the same casket. The lady told me that a few weeks later Mr Jeeves was back hitting people up for a hand out. She asked me if Mr Jeeves had ever came in my apartment. I said no and she told me she didn't think he could.

After that on several occasions I tried to get the cat to come in the apartment and he never would. He also made it plain you were not going to pick him up. I lived on there for a few months and fed Mr Jeeves almost every night but he never would let me pick him up and he never came into the apartment. I also would only see him at night and one day I bought a disposable camera with flash to take his photo. Some how the cat knew. Anytime I had the camera the cat would never come into the lighted part of the yard. Only later he would show up looking in at the air conditioner window at me. Once I was sure I got his photo but when I took it in to the drug store to get it developed there was no cat in the photo. So that is my true story of Mr Jeeves the Ghost Cat of St Augustine.
